6.606 — RECRUITING FOR TERRORISM
Violations of "Statute 6.606" results in a Class A Felony
(a) Definitions
Recruiting for terrorism refers to the act of soliciting, enlisting, or encouraging individuals to engage in or support acts of terrorism, whether through direct or indirect means. This includes efforts to recruit individuals to join terrorist organizations, participate in violent acts, or provide financial, logistical, or material support for terrorist activities. The goal of such recruitment is typically to foster participation in violent acts intended to intimidate, coerce, or influence governments, societies, or populations.
(b) Elements
To establish the offense of recruiting for terrorism, the prosecution must prove beyond a reasonable doubt the following elements:
The defendant knowingly or intentionally solicited, enlisted, or encouraged another individual to engage in or support acts of terrorism.
The defendant’s actions involved convincing or persuading the individual to take part in terrorism-related activities, such as violence, sabotage, or supporting terrorist groups.
